I'm running on a larger outdoor hard packed clay track with some light dust. I am currently using the stock aluminum chassis. Would there be a noticeable difference switching to the plastic +8.

Thanks for the input. I've ran gear diff.s in my 4x4 SC but never in a 2wd. So for the higher traction surface the thinner the oil. And thicker for low traction surface.

I'm rebuilding my buggy for a carpet track. Most of the setup's I see are calling for 1000k or 2000k gear diff. fluid. That seems light to me. Is this what everyone is running.

Compound isn't very important. If you have any bar like tire it will work good. I use older wore out stuff I don't want to run on indoor clay anymore.
