tires, for USVTA, only have 1 choice. the HPI treaded front/rears. no one else makes a set of tires for VTA

run a ROAR event and see where a motor/body/speedo that "meets" roar rules will get ya :)

however, in your defense, it does say 'pending ROAR approval' - so...

that can't be possible, Pete - Novak stuff is inferior compared to what's spec'ed for ROAR :lol: that's why so many people are trying to lobby for open motors in USVTA - because the novak stuff isn't...

pretty much sums things up....

nothing is broke with the class, outside certain people's opinions on how 'it can be better'...but I betcha a USVTA spec'ed car will be just as competitive as a ROAR...

they have/had dimensions that matched the HPI tires. plus at the events, it was spec'ed to be the HPI tire - but you were allowed to bring your own tires

the problem with ROAR, is that they cannot restrict class rules to a specific manufacturer - like they tires, they are outlined to match the HPI tires, but not specifically named in the rules
