I don't think you will gain a lot of steering...

I don't think you will gain a lot of steering going from 300k to 500k. Considering your wishes, I'd suggest running 1 or 2 mm more caster. That will increase mid corner steering and reduce turn in.

Good suggestion. The 747 springs are different as is the piston that closes the pads. But a simple check is to remove the brake disc and look if the pads can come close enough (they wont fully close)...
