Motor Timing

I found when I was running the V10 motors that I like them around 15 to 25 degrees of timing. I feel that if you are needing to crank the timing up much past that on a modified motor you are better...

LVC

I think is a different issue than the esc but try setting LVC down to 2.8 as that is where I run mine. I also have ran Savox Servos with this setup and a cap for good measure. More to help the...

Voltage Cutoff

What do you have your Voltage Cutoff set to please? Also, I would test a new RX as suggested above to verify it has not gone bad.

It should work...

Hello,

I have looked up the specs on this esc and it looks like you would be in the safe range with the 21 turn 550 brushed motors and 3s lipo, 4s lipo would be outside of the safe range shown on...

Not really.

I have not ran into any issues at all with the Justock. Been a great esc. Do you have specific concerns?

Thanks

Yes and no...

You are correct that you can only control basic timing advance features with the SCT Pro but I honestly have not found a need on track size or layout for where I would have needed boost or turbo...

Yes but...

I am running the latest database with V3.2_140627_Beta installed on the SCT Pro but it does not provide any benefit over V103_130806-Beta for the SCT Pro ESC based on the Version History.

Updated Setup Sheet for SCT Pro ESC

Guys,

I have created an updated Setup sheet for The SCT Pro ESC and posted it on my site. I have also added one for my current setup with this esc for reference. I will be posting the rest of my...

It should be...

I run my V3.1 with a 6.5 motor in my 4wd buggy without a fan, but it is indoors and a bit cooler during this season. It should be fine with an 8.5 but I suggest setting the ESC Thermal Cutoff temp to...

Justock is great!

Don't get hung up on the resistance difference as you will never feel or see that difference in a real world application. I can recommend that you run the esc outside of the suggested specification...

I don't think so...

I have checked my software version and it does not show a Reverse Rotation option in the V3.1 Line.

LVC on SCT Pro

I personally ran the LVC at 2.8 to 2.6 Volts per cell myself. I know this seems low but what is really happening is the SCT is watching the pack voltage and under heavy load your pack voltage will...

They are both great ESCs...

The Extreme stock and Justock ESCs are hands down the best you can get for the money spent in my mind.

The Extreme stock has the ability to adjust profiles with timing advance if you would want...

This is what I like to do...

I like to set up 3 or 4 profiles on the esc each with different punch settings from 65% 5/15 to 65% 30/30 and then I can switch between profiles trackside with the programmer very quick and easy to...

Adjust your switch rate.

You will find more smoothness with changing your punch switch. I like to run mine around 65% for the switch rate that way the lower punch rate setting like 10 is used in more of the throttle pull and...

Yes it should work

Yes, if it is the black digital programming box and no the older LED style box. If it does not connect you may need to update the firmware on the box. If it does connect make sure the boost and turbo...

Not really but I know the issue.

The current firmware shipped on the V3.1s come by default on the mod profile which also has 10 degrees of timing advance set. What you are hearing is the delayed timing advance kicking in shortly...

Drag Brake

I find 5% to 10% is a good starting point all around. I personally don't use much more than 10% in most situation.

Good Luck

This is really a matter of personal preference.

This is a matter of personal preference, You can get boost and Timing Profiles very smooth if set up correctly, but especially on 2WD buggy I prefer no timing setups and just adjust Gearing, Motor...

More Boost Control...

If you want more control over your boost settings, you could back your firmware down to previous version if you like.
