I would be willing to bet that the circle clip...

I would be willing to bet that the circle clip that holds the thrust assembly inside the diff isn't seated properly and became dislodged which is causing the diff to not engage properly....

I run outdoors RM3 with a gear diff w/80wt shock oil on a medium traction dirt track, and it works very well.

I run on a very low traction track, lots of loam, and between the 3 gear and the 4 gear the increase in on power traction is very helpful. Its funny, the tires of choice are the old school step pins...
