I have only had it happen with a 9.5T motor and the 1257 servo using the 3120 rx.

All my other set ups with Spektrum and Savox have never had a brown out.

Yes it may cure the problem. Again this has nothing to do with the ESC but more related to the higher power demands of these new servos especially Savox.

That's fine if you are pleased with the 5 to 6 volt performance you get with the ESC's internal BEC but if you want to use the high voltage servos you will need to use an external BEC or direct wire...
