Yep. Sometimes a little paint gunk gets in there and needs to be cleaned out and then lube the trigger plunger.
I use Restorer to clean that spot and small paintbrush.

Some Iwatas use a needle packing screw that tightens the packing around the needle. Maybe yours needs a fine adjustment?

I don't know about the BCS but on the CS the needle packing does not change when you swap tip/needle. The needle body where it passes...
