Ok so I used the .5 shim behind the collet....

Ok so I used the .5 shim behind the collet. However, it seems to me that the clutch bell has a lot of play. Is this ok? If so would it be ok to add another shim so that there are two washers behind...

Makes sense but I didn’t know that you can use...

Makes sense but I didn’t know that you can use the other shims in front of the fly wheel nut.
