You're wrong. The speed control is the exact same as the 2s and 3s units except it uses a different low voltage cutoff. It will operate fine at the higher voltage. Where you get into trouble is...

I run that almost exact same setup in my SC10 2w. I use that motor, but a 4 cell GTB. It works fine, EXCEPT you don't have a low voltage lipo cutoff.
