I did that too. The RS4 had a similar setup that would break sometimes.

It hasta be the halfshaft! I've checked everything else! lol...

I have a XL-5 that's been upgraded to metal gears in the rearend. Ringed Diff... Idler... clutch shaft... etc. I thru a MM 5700 setup in it and took off. Everything worked great for a while...
