Yeah, but the "high Voltage lower KV setup" means a 1200 to 1400 KV motor on 6S, not a motor people usually run on 4S (One of Drake's setups is a 1700 Tekin on 4S geared 16:45 in a E-8).

I've been running an RX-8 for 3+ years in a car with mechanical brakes (Airtronics 94360 servo) and have never used an external BEC. Nor does my Spektrum receiver brown when I brake.
