Nope! They are hard coated but not threaded. At least they aren't the blue RTR ones. It also doesn't have the titanium tie rods. But your buddy was right, it is plastic with no aluminum hop ups.

Your slipper is probably too tight. Just loosen it a little at a time. And make sure your diff is tight enough. Lock it then back it out 1/8 to 1/4 of a turn.
