The boards came about by needing to comply with ROAR rules for the last ROAR level 4 race. But as I have shown, they were not the only choice.

The damn boards were never needed, and should not have been used. Sure it complied with the ROAR rules, but no one wants a barrier that eats cars. Look at real tracks, and quite a few...
