The RCM Slipperential Diff will have steel gears. 2 sizes at frst, 46T and 50T. Special gears made for the slipper dif so other brand plastic gears probably wont work.

Extra power on tap for what? spinning the whels more? I run the 1700kv 1512/3D in my buggy and I can break the tires loose on command on any track surface, so more power just means more wheel spin....

the battery tray inside dimensions are 52.5mm x 169mm. Its big enough that just about any battery will fit it. It would have to be a very large pack not to work.
