Mmpro should be fine. I ran one for a year with no issues. They do have a weak bec which is the cause for most issues people have. An external bec is almost always a must have.

IMO you are undergeared. Motors run hot when undergeared too. Typical rule of thumb is hot motor cool esc gear up. Hot esc cool motor gear down. Try a 15t.

What esc and settings are u running? What gearing? With a buggy 1400 you should be at 14 teeth. Truggy you can get away with gearing taller and keep temps in check. Maybe 15 or 16 tooth.

Why are u running such stiff springs? What's your ride height? Try the standard Drake setup. Silver front and black rear inside on arms. 27/29mm ride height.
