-low voltage cut off? Is it set to auto or a specific voltage? Or off. Personally i always select off as do most racers..

What brand receiver do you uses? I found futaba ones to not have the tightest bite on servo lead connections in fact I'll fill the empty channels with old connectors to ensure snug fitting wires..

It's always a good idea to re calibrate esc to to your radio after a firmware update..

I would run through neutral throttle brake setup. This will fix your issues.
