Thanks for the help. I think the problem was the original glue job wasn't sufficient and now I can't get a good bond no matter how much I clean or sand. I'll give it another try (third re-glue).

I don't own a racer, but the difference I can see from pictures of race buggies are the suspension arms are more open (less plastic), the shock towers look thinner, and the chassis are thinner/less...

So I just weighed my buggy with a 5Ah/6S battery. 9.3lbs! The battery makes up 1.8lbs of that. Most everything is stock minus the gears.

I want to lighten it up, I'm just not sure where to get...
