6.5 is too much for 2wd buggy. I would go 10.5 or 8.5 depending on the size and traction level of your track.

I do this as well. It's easier to get it started, it seals better, and I find they last longer before the threads get stretched out and the cap needs to be replaced.

223 is soo much smoother, especially heavy braking at the end of straight. I've been running my throttle and brake minimums at 3 and this helps a little bit more.
