Yes but it will be loud! I think I stripped one or two gears in the two years I drove my ebuggy so not sure it is necessary. I also cannot remember if the metal spurs are 32p or mod 1.

Try moving the rear hubs forword if you can. This should help in both those situations.

The metal spur is too noisy. No need for it. Take out the rear triangle motor support at the back of the motor and you should not have any issues stripping plastic spurs. They last a long long time...

Yeah I just keep my spektrum antenna in the radio box and leave it that way. Have not had a single issue this way. Keeps everything nice and clean. I don't run antenna tubes anymore.
