the non-milled plate flexes less than the milled one. More consistent gear mesh, probably more important with mod motors.

Racers Edge makes (or made) an anodized motor plate as well, it is a little beefier. In any case, I actually prefer the stock plate to the FT blue milled one, as I think it flexes less.

That is an excellent setup for high-bite tracks, which is all I've tried it on. I was a little surprised with the amount of steering the setup provides. At the same time, it's very driveable.
