Just as a personal suggestion, I would stick with FalconSekiedo due to having a warranty. If you shop Fleabay and many other places, they do not ;)

You sure can run it on 2s. Just run an external BEC and it will be glitch free. I see people do it all the time. Castle makes an external BEC for about 20 dollars

If your swelling the capacitors, its either a poor quality/bad lipo with a lot of ripple in the voltage or a bad connection to the lipo such as cheap bullet connectors.
