I strongly urge you to try the hobbywing 4000KV 4 pole motor over...

Yeah I have the same deal. If you turn off your radio and then hit the button it will turn off. The ESC has loss of signal protection. I think thats the intended sequence of operations for this ESC.....

I would think you want to set your EPA to maximum before calibrating the ESC; that way you have more points along the stroke of your trigger...

you do not want to increase the pinion size... the higher the pinion size the higher the temps... with the 2250kv motor you want to try and gear down to keep temps under control.

As long as you do not want to run anything higher than 4S the SCT pro is a more than able ESC. I run it in my losi 8ight 2.0, desc410, and mbx6 and it never gets warm in any of these vehicles....

Depending on the type of ESC you can set the cut off voltage as Vols/cell or complete voltage . Eg: the SCT Pro has volts/cell but the V3 ESC needs you to enter the total voltage.
