Ah, sorry then it isn't possible what I meanth indeed, I though it mounted like The Dude's mount.

I think I could make one, I work in a 1:1 car workshop wich does MOT's also, we have a MIG welder...

If you don't have the ability to make a new mount, would it be possible to dremel of the round part?
So that you end up with only the mounting plate on the chassis and the motormount plate?

One thing I don't like about the Losi kit either...

One thing I don't like about the Losi kit either is that if you use a bit of a smaller motor then the mount, it will act like an oven instead of an heatsink.
At least, that is what is told to me.
