No need for debate on this... BradFox had a great idea that works perfect. We run regularly at night when its around 50. This lets us charge at 1C AND keep the temps at 100f.

Your gonna need a new set of tires after every heat if you run that motor 6S. Also you might overtemp the motor. Be careful... I have an overtemp switch that will cut off your ESC if it gets over...

I'm not getting 25 to 30 mins on my setup. I'm getting 21 mins. But its enough to race a 20min main with the nitros if needed. Tom can get about 25 on his setup

I prefer the losi conversion. It has the best motor mount, and is lightweight. The weight savings can be used for batteries.

I have tried 4s 2000kv and 6s 1500kv. I prefer the 6s setup for efficiency. if your gonna race at SRS 6S 2200kv is way too much power. And you probably wont make time unless you use a huge battery

No need for an external BEC. Although I have heard some people running it anyways for fear of burning out the internal one. I think this problem was fixed in the V3.

Just as a heads up, this is true for the 8ight, but not all vehicles. The RC monster kit turns the diff around and raises it for the 8ight, but it keeps the same orientation and height on the RC8....

6S 3900mah 25C 585grams. And yes it barely fits, but it works for 15min mains, and I heard some can run 20 min mains. I will test that out in a couple weeks hopefully.

Are using losi pinions? They have a smaller setscrew that sometimes backed off if I didn't lock tight. You can't really crank on the setscrew to tighten it. Rcmonster and robinsons have the larger...
