Oooh. I see what you're talking about now. It almost looks like he faded the edges white before he laid the candy blue down. But the candy would gobble up that white so I don't think he did it that...

If you're talking about the blue...it's candy blue coated everywhere where its blue...and stenciled white and black. I'm guessing though. Ask b4james. He seems like a cool dude.

2. I do. Especially when shading blacks. It prevents static charge.

3. Can you show an example picture? I'm assuming they are fading withe around edges and backing with other colors.

I've used teal candy shimrin, oriental blue, and candy apple red. The only down side to using shimrin "candies" is the sparkle is built into it. So you can't really do that fancy ghost flaming...

Off the beaten path... I'm sitting here cutting out a design and was debating on skipping the pin striping. Then I remember I always regret it when I don't do pin striping.

It's all subjective but $25 plus $24 for 4 colors comes out to a $49 paint job. It seems a low ball price but if you are happy with it...who's to say?

Differences that I know of:

The water based can leave "ghost farts" or static mists of paint on the parts you don't want them on when shading 2 colors in the same area. There are ways around this...

Sounds like you have some paint on the tip or the needle isn't well seated.

For fine lines...try taking the crown cap off and thinning the paint with water/windex/4011 reducer...whatever you have...
