Yeah I wouldn't want to run my motor this hot either. I know they r bigger and can withstand more heat, but I wouldn't wanna get as hot as 170 at the hottest, let alone run there consistently.

no bad idea... run them for the cell they are and...

no bad idea... run them for the cell they are and if you have some left its a good thing. if you drain the lipo the whole way it will ruin it. 1600 seems a little high for 5000, so check to make sure...

Sorry to hear that zix. Next i tried everything with my buddies truggy to get the rx8 to stop cutting out, the only thing left was the servo, so ill post you when we throw a new one in.

Ok sorry let me clear this up. 1700 and 2000 with rc8te on 4s because of rules. Battery is 2 2s 5100 35c and i need a suggestion without the hotwire set up and also with the new version with hotwire.

Actually its the venom 8000 and i cant complain one bit. They are like a pound a piece though atleast. 45 min holy sh!t thats long whether its 20 laps or not haha 45 mins is 45 mins.

Hey just ran the rx8 for another 3 hours yesterday and no problems at all. Cant be more pleased with an esc. Today ran on 4s with 5000 with 3.75v cutoff set and ran for 6.5 mins, checked the volts...
