if he is new at racing they have the novice class that is all 1/10 scale, mostly SCT but anything is allowed. Also if he is just looking to run if you get a membership you can use the track anytime...

no, it won't fit, the F18 is longer than the RC18. Best bet is to get the aluminum pro chassis, or the full pro kit.
