I got my set in yesterday, yes, it appears to be the same color. Grey=Silver. I guess the stock set was included as 1 of the 3. So, this is what I have for springs.

Mine was ok, just a touch of slide so there is no binding. Maybe you got the wrong shaft so to speak. I don't have a 3.0 buggy to compare it with, sorry. I'd call and have them send the correct part....
