yes yes and yes.. I have done this on my sons 808 conversion.. you need the 2011 or xb9 bulkheads (they are the same part) the 10T 808 2011 pinion.. for the conversion I used the xb9 cvd driveshafts...

theoretically if you use the pinion from a 2011 808 which is the same style as the xb9 but 10T instead of 12T then it will fit. The problem comes with the gear ratios. All 808 models ran 10/43 ratios...

what weight difference? my xb9E weighs 40g more than my nitro one.. exact same set up except I prefer 5,7,3 in the E as opposed to 5,5,3 in the nitro to use the extra torque.

me too.. anywhere like the diff bulkheads I remove to service diffs often replace the 2mm buttons with 2.5mm cap heads.. never ever stripped one of those.
