I would loosen the two diff mounts on the chassis, then put the slipper in and re-tighten them. They are probably just misaligned a little.

5:1 is too high for 13.5t.
Gear depends on lots of factors but we are running 6:1 on 17.5t currently.
I would suggest something close to 6.5-7:1 as start.
