Yes , square

I finally got shipment from 3racingHK. and yes ,they are not the same .. One is square but looks hex in picture - it just has rounded corners.. bummer.

Outer joint

Ok, made steel outer joints for 4mm V2 pucks/cushions. I'm still waiting for aluminum spool from 3Racing Hong Kong. Once it arrives, I'll make Thru pin style outer joints for whoever needs them.....

You are right about either 7075 aluminum or steel. 7075 is approx $60 for a 3/8 bar 5ft long which ,if I only make a few , is to expensive when I have cold rolled 3/8 steel bar laying all around...

All the regular stuff: hubs ,arms etc... You'll definitely need longer ball links for rear hubs - with the spacer under it there just ain't enough thread and strips out every time.. 4.8mm ball L9...
