I'll be the first to admit, breaking the rear axle was my dumb fault, as well as one front arm, but it is sure painful to not be able to get the needed parts to get back on the track. :-(

The 22 axle does fit in the hub perfectly, but...

The 22 axle does fit in the hub perfectly, but the dog bone side is a bit too long. It bottoms out on the outdrive and diff nut when the suspension is even slightly compressed.

Turns out the answer is a vise, two different...

Turns out the answer is a vise, two different size allen wrenches, and a small hammer. One Allen to drive the split pin flush with the axle, then a smaller one to tap it the rest of the way through...

Thanks for the tip. I did check that just now, and they're down all the way. My batteries measure 23.5 mm in height, Venom 4200. I'll just put a thin adhesive backed foam under the battery hold...
