+1 for the PowerHD wp-23kg, its a fantastic value for something like a SCT where you need a bit more torque or if your using a rtr esc (its only rated for 6V). I picked up 2 of the evo-p2 servos...

Or even check out the Futaba 4pl - i picked up one used for around a hundred bucks with a receiver, and its fantastic. A tad bulky maybe but the display is intuitive and it can use any of the newer...

A really easy way is to just fill the center diff with hot glue. It will completely lock the diff but be very easy to pick out if you decide you dont like it. JB Weld is permanent, and silly putty...

I was told by my local hobby shop that using hot glue is even better than using something like silly putty or play doh. It locks it hard but you can pick it out really easily and it doesnt leave...
