It only goes forward and notreverse

The trucks will only turn the wheels while it's stopped but will only go forward and not let the wheels turn and won't go into reverse I have tried the channels on the controller

I just bought a new red cat ext pro blackout brushless but when I have it running it only goes forward and not reverse but when I change the wires around it will only turn the wheels . What is going...
