I appreciate the response. Since then the max has been 148F and the max on the motor has been 123F. I think I'm good temps wise and may try a gear up.

If you want a cheap win without much work, get a GoolRC combo like Billdelong said. Throw a 3s lipo in it and it should win. I have the 2WD version, 2900kv(I believe), 3s with a 19T and it's quick....
