4S isn't enough, 5S wakes it up.

Good stuff! The Castle ESCs are always nice kit, they still have their failures, but not as many as people make out.

I've just read the other X-Maxx thread, it gets kinda ugly in there!

That spur looks damaged, that could be the cause...

That spur looks damaged, that could be the cause of the noise. Get something thin and sharp and use it to clear any debris from between all the teeth on both the spur and pinion.

I'm running two E-Maxxs, both use UE diff housings. These will accept 1/8 buggy diffs, but the crown gear must be 38mm OD, not 40mm. I have a list of parts for the diffs if you want me to dig it out?...
