The ball diff will always be more consistent, provided it's broken in and tight enough (not barking). As a gear diff is used, the diff oil heats up and becomes thinner.

The ballcups will probably be really tight, check the first post for some fixes. I'd suggest some titanium camber links, Front shock tower and arms for a B5, possibly the rear arms, and not much else...

Weight and/or gearing are probably your issues. Rear motor generally gets more airflow and hence can be geared bit higher. Plus if the car was lighter, you could gear up a tad more.

Then it might be overall weight. I just weighed my T4 (everything metal is still steel, short B4 chassis but a t-bone bumper that adds weight back in) and it came to 1765 grams with a shorty in it....

Very nice. I'm running prolines wedge^2 and pinpoints this winter on my B5M. Ran the original wedge and pinpoints last year on my B4 and it was phenomenal, so I hope it's more of the same this year...
