I would recommend to replace them when they are 1mm different in height(left to right). replace always both springs

keep in mind that you need to drive it like a 13.5 stock car.

the side springs&tubes control the roll and the shock controls the heave/bump.

You’ll have brakes if you use 10.5 or a MOD motor with 1S. it is not a battery issue it has to do with the drive ratio. 17.5 and 13.5 have rather long gearing which will counter act the rather low...
