Pinions

I have this problem with a TP 17.5 in a T4 in the UK.

On a T3/12 I ran pinions in the 37-40 range with a 72 spur - 48DP.
To get this gearing on a T4 I had to fit a 66 spur then a 37 pinion so...

T3 chassis

Lonestar - try the Smokem T3MX chassis. We think, after a few weeks running it on carpet, that its a real improvement on a standard T3/12 chassis.

Xray gear diff

I agree that the O-ring is not needed.
What you should do is coat the mating faces of the diff cases with a thin smear of thick grease, add the gasket and screw up as normal.

Tried one pinion lower (16) at Stafford tonight. Ian said it was better on the short straights. Also tried a 15, gutless. Also tried an 18, seemed overgeared on same speedo settings....

13.5 motor timing

motor timing was 35deg, motor came off at 50deg.

Speedo is a Tekin RS Pro, firmware is 212.

17.5 Stock Gearing

I run 17.5 zero timing. T311 with Novak Ballistic motor. I am geared at 70/38 which is 3.5 at 48DP. Motor temp around 103F with air temp at 29c. I use a motor fan.

I have a Sanwa Super Exzes transmitter fitted with a Spektrum 2.4 module. The receiver is Spektrum. This setup has worked with Novak, LRP, Hobbywing etc...

I route the wires over the belt but I made a Lexan right angle (bodyshell offcut) about two inches long and superglued it to the top deck.

I agree this is apparently a problem.
We have a Xray T3,GM90 2010 with 11.6 software. NO other changes to settings.
The receiver is a Spektrum 2.4 (the very small one with the transparent case)...

The size you use must depend to some extent on setup, track, tyres etc.

Paul L uses 700 oil and 1.1 pistons on his Novak race winning modified setup.

The alu shocks come with a choice of 1.1,1.2 or 1.3 pistons.
