It might be easiest, in the long run, to just have some 4mm axles turned down to 1/8" (3.17mm), at the ends, so you can use 1/18 RC or 1/24 slot car wheels/tires, but keep the stock bearings.

The feet are just hot glued on. CA it, and you're set. I've bought 6 alloys, and they all had the extra meat/camber deal. The CFs are 1 piece alloy. I'm guessing yours is from a later run.
