Looking to get into E-On Road Racing
#1

Hi Friends,
Looking to get into on road racing and curious what you're recommendations would be in terms of:
1) Beginner friendly class?
2) RTR or start with a kit?
3) What's the best bang for buck kit?
4) What's the best kit - money no object?
I'm coverage on the RX/TX and Charger/Batteries side.
PS: In Houston, TX.
TIA

First I would said to build a kit for the class that you would like to run in and test it out in the novice class. Once you can control that car then try that class out to see if that is for you. Secondly, there is a lot of good kits out there to start with like the TC4, Sakura and the BT-4. Third, The best kit would be the one you feel comfortable working on to learn how to set it up. How ever a lot people would probably say the Awesomatix is the best or the X-Ray.

What ESC, Motor and Servo do you recommend? For ESC - I'd really like to stick with Hobbywing if possible since I already have one of those new programming devices.
Motor wise - I'm all ears.
Servo wise - I'm debating between stealing from my Traxxas Slash

Any other advice?

- 21.5T motors only.
- Scale bodies.
- Spec tires.
I'm sure there is more such as batteries and weight, but starting out I just want to get going and practice.
