Default Futaba mc330cr Esc probs

On the weekend i took my car out for a spin, it was goin sweet but i hit a puddle and the esc got wet, it still worked for a couple of mins then it stopped.
I've let it dry out and it works, but now after running the car 4 a while i will get no throttle, i know the batteries not flat cause if i turn the car on with the transmitter off the motor still goes(ie runaway), and im noticing a lack in performance as it doesnt drift nearly as well as b4.
Any help plz, thanks.

Likely u fried the thing.

What u should have done once u hit the water was stop and(you should still do this just in case its still wet)
-take off case
-flush out with motor spray
-Dry with fan or hair dryer on cool.

Bench test it with properly charged batteries and a known working receiver just in case u fried that..

Wait...send it back to Tamiya and tell them NOTHING about your water expedition. See if your local hobby shop will give you store credit towards a new ESC if that doesn't work. I've taken apart and soldered back together PCBs on Novak ESC's before, and I've diagnosed and tested the Traxxas XL-1s, not to mention the number of transitters that needed fixing. The one thing they all had in common was the warrantee's were gone. If the warrantee's were still good I'd have sent the stuff back. It's always best to see if you can get a new one before tearing the old one apart.
