Default Help to identify this truck

My son received this used RC Truck for his birthday. We don't know much about this RC stuff. I tried to post links to my photobucket so you guys can see this truck but since I'm new it wont let me.

The truck is very fast! The battery is a Sky Lipo 5000mAh 5 cell 18.5v. I did a little research on these new lipo batteries (new to me because I haven't had an RC car in a long time) and this appears to be a powerful one.

The motor is a Tekin T8 brushless. I haven't researched this yet. I was hoping to post some pictures and get some feedback.

I took a closer look at the motor and it says, "1:8th race specification". So I assume we have a 1/8th scale truck.

Thanks for posting those Dave. So if anyone can help identify what brand and model truck we have I'd appreciate it.

That would be a Team Associated SC8E, with a Tekin RX8 Speed controller and Tekin T8 motor. If you need any help let me know!

Thanks Cam! We're going to get a membership at our local track and have some fun with it. This one is my sons and now I have to get one. I'm looking at the Traxxas Slash 4x4 VXL. I'm still trying to understand the batteries so as of now I'm thinking I'll get a 3s 11.1v 5000mAh 35c. From what I can understand about these batteries so far this should be a good one and it appears to be compatible with the stock parts that come with the the Slash. There is a $49 EZ Peak charger that I hope will work well with that battery. Any guidance here would be appreciated.
