what should i have in my toolbox?
i'm getting back into the hobby and need some pointers on necessary toolbox items... i have lots of stuff from my former racing years, but that was 15 years ago and a lot of it is in rough shape and/or incomplete. so...
i have a 22sct kit on order. what tools, oils, lubes, items, etc should i consider necessities for my racing toolbox?
thanks!

One thing I can definitely say, don't skimp on your hand tools. I was using some Integy tools for a while but was constantly breaking the tips and stripping out screws. I just got some MIP hex drivers and it is night and day difference. I also have a few Ed's hex drivers and actually prefer them only because of the handles. I also have a little Ryobi cordless driver with some MIP speed tips for it. Makes tear downs a snap

definitely on my list. i've never had really nice hex drivers - i think that needs to change.
i had looked at the losi set too (i'm a losi guy - hehe). are those as good as the mips? any other suggestions?
thanks!

Spare tires, never know when one will blow out, hand tools +1, thread locker , batteries for your radio, Velcro for in a pinch, some needle nose pliers, and whatever parts break frequently on your car etc..etc.. Just a few things. I just let me my tool box grow as it needs accordingly.

I had a set of Losi hexes. Sold them when I got a Hudy set and wished I hadn't. They had great tips and I think one of the best looking and gripping handles. Don't think you would regret buying Losi tools. (PS Not complaining about my Hudy's they are great tools as well)

I'd add servo tape to everything listed here. You never know when an esc decides it wants to wiggle loose and ruin your day. Oh and zip ties, they're always handy.

A cheap set of dental picks for cleaning dirt out of screw heads, etc. A small needle-nosed vise grip comes in handy sometimes, unless you already have 3 hands...+1 on the zip ties and servo tape. I like my Dynamite hex drivers. I have a set of Losi's, too. No complaints about either set.
Get a screw set for sure, and some extra wheel nuts. Probably some spare spur gears and an extra pinion or 2. Not familiar with the 22 SCT so I really don't know what breaks on them.
Your tool set will grow as you figure your vehicle out and what likes to break. I'm going to guess that's a pretty popular truck at alot of tracks, so hopefully someone else at the track or the track's hobby shop (if there is one) can help you in a real bind until you can get your own tool kit/pit bag dialed in.

As for parts, get ball ends, once they pop off a few times it stretched the cup and they become chronic. They are not the same size as the 22 or 22T either.
Plastics can break out on the hubs and arms if you clip something pretty good, but I would hope that is in track inventory. Breaking hubs or knuckles will lead to a need for spacers and kingpins though.
Down the middle the 22SCT is more than durable.
The TLR body will fall apart pretty fast as well, duct tape will be a friend for a while.
I also have found that my aluminum shock pliers are very handy.
