Default vaterra zl1 chp

I am looking to do a police car with led lights for fun and some messing around at the indoor track. I found that Vaterra makes a rtr kit that seems salty. Anyonehavea a kit and how is the quality? I feel like. brand new tc4 would run me less even after a decent motor and esc. Any thoughts? I think the Vattera kit could be upgraded with more leds but I could also run my own on a Camaro or Mustang body.

Big Squid just did a review of the Vaterra: http://www.bigsquidrc.com/review-vat...et-camaro-zl1/

Looks pretty good for the price. Personally, though, I get enjoyment out of putting things together, so I'd opt for the TC4 and then get a body and lights. Still, Vaterra makes pretty good quality stuff and at least you have online parts support from Horizon.

By the way, The Toyz carry a lot of cool LED lights, even Police stuff. Two examples: http://thetoyz.com/LED--Lights/LED--...he-Toyz/16992/ and http://thetoyz.com/Traxxas/1-10-Rall...he-Toyz/16836/

You can check out more lights in their LED section: http://thetoyz.com/led--lights/led--lights/2235/

Thanks. I will check them out. One of the reasons I got back into this was to build as well so I think you are right. Go tc4 and have fun with it.
