Default My son's trigger came out of hie remote for his Axial?

Hi Guys,

Well my son and I got our first rc trucks on Saturday. My son's is an Axial SCX 10 Honcho mine is a Losi rockcrawler.. We bought them used from a guy getting out of rc'ing. We were having a great time with them when my son came to me and told me the trigger came out of his controller (radio?). It is the Axial remote that came with his truck. Do you have any suggestions as to what I can do? Can it be fixed? Do I have to take it to the local hobby shop to have it repaired? Can I do it myself (eg. is it fairly simple to repair)? He is itching to get back to it but he can't without his controller.

Thanks for your help

On a cheap radio like that you can't usually replace it. Best to just buy a new radio system. Look at futaba or airtronics or spektrum, all make good radio systems for around 120.

True, it is a low end radio. However you should open it up. Not much inside of it. It is useless as it sits. You have nothing else to lose on it. It should have a spring for reverse in it. Probably lost a screw. I know I would open it if it was mine. Good luck.

If it just fell out then yeah open it up but if it actually broke off then chuck it.

Open it! What are you gonna lose? I don't let the hobby shop touch anything of mine.

Like i stated on your other thread its a flysky copy most likely, I would say +1 to opening it up. Probably just needs some super glue to fix it. This would be a temp solution, and I would suggest looking into a new radio.

+1 on opening er up...I did the same on a cheap remote(i hate the expensive ones), took me an hour and a quick trip to the hardware store and it's back to working and has been for over two months....
