Default Question about the Futaba 3PKS

I am trying to find the time to get to the track and since my skills are non existent I would probably be racing in the sportsman class. I was wondering if the Futaba 3PKS is still a viable control to use or do I need to upgrade? I guess in the end what I am asking is should I use the 3PKS until my skills improve and then upgrade or could I continue to use the 3PKS as a viable control?

Does it have the 2.4Ghz module? I asked the same question about my 3PKS and everyone here seem to still like the 3PK radio. I don't have the Fasst system on mine so instead of getting a new radio i might just get the 2.4Ghz module and call it a day.

Still awesome radio you have there. I would keep it.

cheers,

Yes I bought the 2.4 ghz module and thatvwascone of the reasons I was hesitant to buy a new control. I forgot to mention the module. I've been reading that there is a difference in response time between the 3PKS and the 4PKS, is the difference significant?

A lot of the top guys at my track are still using the 3pks w/2.4 module. I've never tried it myself, but they beat me every week and I've got a newer 3PM-X
