Just looking at upgrading my radio controller in order to set up my car better just wondering whats the best one to get with my budget which is about $250. Im currently looking at getting a SPEKTRUM DX3S would this be the best option with my budget or is there something cheaper thats the same?

I did look at the DX3R PRO but didn’t think it was worth the extra money or is it?

The DX3R Pro is significantly better than the DX3S. It has a nicer feel to it, the drop down wheel, more features, and also uses DSM2 technology. It would be more responsive. If you're planning on a lot of racing, the 3R series would be better. If you just want something nicer than your stock transmitter, the 3S would be fine.

A lot of members here really like Futaba and they make some very nice transmitters as well. I personally have not had any issues with my Spektrum stuff, but others have.
