Getting into offroad B4.1 or TLR22?
#1

Hey guys,
Since there are no onroad tracks around here...it's time for me to get into offroad...
My questions is, which car should be easier to drive B4.1 or TLR22.
I like both and don't have any brand preference...so please let me know what you think..I might just flight the coin

Thank you guys. Most likely I will end up with B4.1.

I own a Kyosho, but have driven both the 22 and the 4.1's of some other racers.
The b4.1 turned much better and was easier to hold a line and speed through tight turns.
The 22 was more stable and easier to hold a line and speed through large sweeping turns.
Some of that is likely setup, but those are also the generalities that I've heard others talk about.

Misiek I notice you run a few Tamiya cars. I you like Tamiya and your lhs or where ever you get your parts for ypur cars the TRF201 is an awesome buggy. I actually know a few sponsored guys that have switched to it from a b4.1 and they like it better. I personally have been running Associated since the gold pan days and I will never switch. BTW Associated just swept the KO Propo race today in all mod classes.

+1 more for AE.

I have driven both and I like the AE. The Losi to me seems more plush but I seemed to fight it more around the track than I did with the AE. The AE is more direct and more twitchy. It seems to be more responsive to me while the Losi seems more lazy. This is just my opinion but I would start off with the B4.1, if you don't like it you can sell it or trade it in the forums
I see more folks wanting to trade the 22 for the B4.1 than the other way around.

+1 on the TRF201.
201 and B4.1 are very similar in design. I just like the fit and finish of Tamiya kits and prefer metric hardware on everything. Only thing I dislike is the availability of parts for the Tamiya's at the local hobby shops but its nothing a few spares won't take care of. I have even interchanged some parts from the B4 when I was in a pinch.
