Hi All,

I was sent over here by a guy on the Oople forum in England.

I thought I would introduce myself.

I'm Martin and about 15 - 20 years ago I used to race 1/10th electric off-road.

I have recently got back into the sport and picked up a second hand Schumacher Cougar SV2 along with a Speed Passion 6.5T motor and SP ESC running Reedy 5200 saddle-packs. That should keep me busy for a bit!

However, along the way I have also acquired a 1/8 Serpent Cobra Truggy which I'm planning to run brushless. This scale is all new to me so I will be asking a good few questions along the way if that is ok

Anyhow thanks for having me here.

welcome to the forum hope you enjoy all the great people and info rctech has to offer. if you dont get help here try your questions in off road electric sections and the serpent truggy thread i read all threads about my car from start to finish and find most of my questions are already answered for me. but some threads are over 1000 pages and then i try searching first for my problem and if i dont find an answer i then ask and have several replies to my questions. have a great time Doug

I have got hold of a Mamba esc. but can anyone recommend me a motor and lipos for racing.

My local club do 5 minute heats and 20 minute finals.

What combination of motor and lipos am I looking for? I understand that the motor has to be a smaller size to fit the RC Monster mount?

Is a 20 minute race with a brushless truggy even possible?
